Personal Preparedness
County OES is partnering with communities by:
- Coordinating and maintaining Emergency Operations Plans (EOP’s) for the County and the nine cities.
- Modifying EOP’s to conform to the new National Incident Management System (NIMS), as a result of Homeland Security Presidential Directives - 5 and 8.
- Providing training to all agencies pertaining to the use of EOP.
- Conducting meetings and exercises with non-governmental agencies and partners to enhance emergency management capabilities.
- Working with Community Based Organizations (CBO’s) and Faith Based Organizations (FBO’s) to support emergency operations capabilities.
- Developing and delivering family and neighborhood-based preparedness plans and training.
